Case feet repair and internal side panel painting:
During the texturing I let some body filler escape to the plexi-glass and, now, had to repair it:
First, I removed the excess of body filler with the Dremel sander:
Finished one:
Got this:
Sanded one by one with 150 paper to remove every body filler traces:
Used the polishing Dremel bit with silicone to smooth the border and get a nice shiny:
In action:
This is the result of polishing:
Then I painted the scratched areas using the same colors:
Ochre:
Repair done:
All the feet painted and waiting for the titanium white with a dry paint.
Final result:
The ET side panel interior was a mess of colors, so, I decided to paint it in chrome to help the illumination:
This is the result (really shiny, mirror finishing):
That’s it for now. Be back soon.
See you,
Pedro Torres.
i have been watching this for a few days now. i like this mod quite a bit.
keep up the good work
Arrived ! The items I's missing to mount the case. The block for the VGA volt regulator, a pair of CC and a switch.
next wednesday it'll be mounted.
See you,
Pedro Torres.
I've been watching since the beginning... And it's looking better the I would've ever imagined!!!
hey petro,
one question,
youve painted the side panel in chrome look, but the rest of the interior is bright yellow, isnt it? do leave that, or will it be shiny![]()
When I finish this 2nd fase will start a 3rd fase and maybe I should change the interior painting to chrome too, but, this time I'll leave this UV yellow.
After painting the side panel in chrome I confess to be inclined to paint everything the same way, but, I'll decide it in 3rd fase.
Thank's for asking,
Pedro Torres.
What kind of chrome paint did you use?
Looks awesome, but I think I liked the flourescent green better.![]()
