    I bought my E6600 just before they released the E6750 and there was that massive price drop on the Q6600. I am kicking myself at the moment, waited and extra week and for $30AUS more it would have been worth it in the long run.

    I ordered my 6750 today... along with the mobo I mentioned in my worklog... and 2gb of OCZ ram.

    i did the same thing dont let it bother you though The E6750 is pritty much an overclocked E6600 that runs a little cooler. With an aftermarket HSF and some overclocking skill the E6600 can easily run at the same speed (3.0GHz @ 1333 FSB) and not get too hot.

    Edit: I would like to say if your buying a new Processor right now the e6750 is probably a better choice b/c its newer

    Oh, and I certainly would not feel bad
    at all about getting that E6600.. I was looking
    at the same Chip until I saw the Q6600 for
    not a whole lot more. ( c0 Stepping )
    Also, according to AnandTech ( and other sites )
    the E6600 is probably the best overclocker right
    now of the Core Duo's.. Check out the link below,
    they got it to OC Stable @ 4GHz on air !
