i'm thinking about replacing my 400W Orion. after shopping around a bit, looking at ocz, antec, and globalwin psus, i realized i had no idea and now pose the question here.
whats the best 520-550W psu out there? facts or fictions lol.

If you want something pretty, you might want to try Aspire's Chameleon . It has a three color LED Fan, and a switch in the back lets you choose whether you want it to be Red, Green, Or Blue.

the aspires are pretty but are they as powerful? the 600Ws only put out 18 and 20 on the 12V rails

Can't go wrong with Antec's True550 (best cost to value ratio) but if you have the money PCpower and Cooling. I also have had really good luck with the SilverStone ZUES 650watt psu. Its SLi ready and has 4 sata plugs and runs really cool. Newegg.com or Performance-PCs.com is where I got both of mine. Just make sure that if you go with SilverStone (or any high wattage)psu that you have the room cause they can get big.
Also too, if you dont want to try to sleeve the psu your self Performance-PCs can do it for you for a VERY reasonable price. |
