Project: R2-D2 becomes R2-M5!

Since I built my R2-D2 a few years ago, many others have been popping up. To keep the whole Astromech idea fresh, I'm changing my paint job, to RED thus becoming R2-M5!

Besides this and a purple R5, I dont think I've seen very many variations on the R2 spring up as projects. Cheers for daring to be different! +rep

About half way on one side is done.

And the eyepiece is coming around too.

Next are the legs which are the hardest part because the goofy shape is difficult to tape off.

For the first time the paint dripped a bit.

But it does look a lot better.
