    Default Motherboard Repair Solution.

    Problem: Computer Reboots Randomly.
After Continued Problems. .Only Boots with 4-Pin ATX12 Disconnected.

Just finished repairing my motherboard. Reconnected 4-Pin ATX12.
    After inspection of the board I noticed there was a brown square on the back of the motherboard;
    a power mosfet was fried.

    Picture of bad power mosfet.

So I cleaned the effected area with rubbing alcohol, took a marker and traced the lines to the bad mosfet and the next one in the series, desoldered, and cut out the bad area with an xacto knife.

I'm not sure how this will effect the voltages, but it is up and running none the less.
    Figured I'd let ya'll know.

I will post some technical voltage information soon.

I RMA'd this board twice ASUS P5N32-SLI Delux.
First it was rebooting randomly, then they sent it back with no audio.
Strange thing is after I removed the bad power mosfet the onboard audio started working.
So that may have been the problem all along.

yes nice work indeed, i would attempt the same should something like that happen to my hardware. i wonder how it will effect the life/ocing/everyday use with that gone. if it doesn't effect anything i wonder why it's even there.

The 5v rails is a bit high... so is the +3.3v rail. You may want to check those out with a multimeter.

Left it on overnight it's still alive muahhh hahahaa
Here is the ASUS Probe 2 Readings.

It was the furthest power mosfet to the right near the memory.
The heatpipe didn't cover that one. .

    Also disabled the QuietFan Feature.

You have to pry it up with a Jewlers screwdriver.
