Sad, sad news that made me go and sit for a while in my daughters room tonight after I got home. My wife has been following this story for a couple weeks now and I meant to post something earlier but in my day to day I kept forgetting.

Layla Grace was a 22 month old who passed away this morning, 3/9/10, after fighting a long hard battle with Stage 4 Neuroblastoma.

Reading about her this morning choked me up really bad and tonight I went through some of the blog from the parents at laylagrace.org and through the facebook page here. Those images and stories and updates sent me over the edge hence the visit to my daughters room where I cried for a family I have never met. I know there are a few dads on this forum and I hope I don't make anybody upset by posting but I really felt the need to post something about this little girl. I can't explain why.

So everybody out there, give your kids a little longer hug today. And if its something you do send a prayer to this family that lost a little angel today.
