A forum member of few words, Filimon has created some really dazzling pieces of computer art. This time he is working on a very unassuming Genius mouse, and giving the old steampunk treatment. With a mixture of brass, leather, mesh and some very exquisite details, the mouse would be more then at home on the world of Prester. Inspired by the series "Last Exile" the transformation is seen from the tip of the custom shrouded USB connector to custom display case. If you haven't had a chance to take a look at it, you better hurry before the Guild claim it for their own!

One of our Moderators, TheGreatSatan, shot out a challenge to the entire forums March 7th of 2008. He wanted to see the coolest, nay BADDEST MODDED CASE EVER. Dubbed the "Baddest Modded Case Contest", TheGreatSatan would give the victor a Apple Powermac G4 shell and a copy of Windows Office if they could provide him the BEST CASE MOD DESIGN!

You may think you T1 line is fast, watch out! SGTM has informed us of..."THE GRID!".
A project started to help find the Higgs Boson (The worlds most elusive particle, which is what in theory, gives matter its mass.) The Grid allows data transfer of about ten-THOUSAND times faster then your average broadband connection. However, the real reason for the Grid was to help manage the amount of data that the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) produces.
The LHC is a large particle accelerator that is meant to probe the universe (Lets just hope the aliens don't find out we're probing them!). They found out they needed to start the Grid project due to the fact that the LHC has the ability to produce so much information, that the internet...would crash. Yes...you heard me correct. The internet as a whole is not able to handle the amount of information that the LHC can pump out. If this system of managing information does well for the LHC, expect to see it connect you to the world in the near future.

According to AMD, Chief Technology Officer Phil Hester has resigned from the company. Hester left IBM in 2005 to take the CTO position at AMD, during the success of the Optron Server processor. While Hester has been one of the overseers of the Quadcore Barcelona Server processor, most of his time has been devoted to the Fusion Project. The Barcelona chip has recently become available despite many technical issues.
It has been undisclosed if this is part of AMD's initiative to lay off 10% of its workforce, but as of yet, no replacement has been named. Furthermore there is talk that instead Hester's job responsibilities will be distributed amongst the current business units.

It seems that the good news doesn't stop around TBCS. We're excited and proud to congratulate Chimaera and his Mrs. Hatshepsut on the announcement of their pregnancy. Having never expected to conceive, the couple couldn't be happier right now and it just goes to show that you cannot tell a modder that anything is set in stone. Congratulations and best wishes!

Boddaker has brought us another masterpiece with his newest mod Battlestar Galactica. Based around a Stacker 830, this case is nowhere near stock. Bod has crafted several beautiful pieces including its landing bay area at the top of the case. A major eye catcher of this mod is its sliding blast doors in the side panel that open and close at the push of a button. The project is wrapping up nicely as the updates surface, and there are swarms of us BSG and Boddaker fans crowded at the finish line with our minds set to stunned.

Special Congratulations are in order for TBCS member Talon who recently announced his engagement. The happy couple have been dating for three years now, and are planning for their nuptuals in the spring of 2009. Now, everyone knows that jewelry is woman's favorite gift, and Talon's girl will not be experiencing a shortage of it soon. In true modder fasion, Talon decided to forego the traditional engagement ring, and proposed with a necklace and is letting his bride to be pick out her own ring.

For nearly a year now, Franklin has been working on his latest mod, Evolutionary. This mod was inspired by a friend of his saying that modding a case was easier than fabricating one from the ground up. Well, Franklin said "we'll just see about that" and got to work. Starting out with nothimg more than aluminum angle bar, this case is evolving into one incredible work of art. Do yourself a favor, and go check this one out, but take some advice and have someone there to pick your jaw up for you.

TribalOverkill's Liquid Evolution series
It's no secret that TribalOverkill has been pushing out some killer watercooling res's. He's got a worklog over 50 pages long, which is quickly approaching 70,000 views. His latest addition to the Liquid Evolution series has to be the coolest to date. Keeping with the TO standard, he's included polished aluminum brackets and accents, and a res cover that looks like something straight out of your favorite Sci-Fi movie. Apparrently, Tribal has something big in the works, but that's all we're allowed to know right now. We suppose you'll just have to keep an eye on the latest from TribalOverkill's Liquid Evolution series and wait with baited breath like the rest of us.
