Review: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus CPU cooler.
By Oneslowz28 at 2009-11-03 11:22

This week I reviewed the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus, a medium sized tower style CPU cooler that will mount to all of the current sockets from both the AMD and Intel camps. The Hyper 212 Plus is the middle child in Cooler Master's Hyper CPU cooler series. However being the middle child means nothing in the world of CPU cooling as this midsized tower offers enough punch to cool the hottest processors out there. <!--break-->

When I first took the Hyper 212 Plus out of the box I was a bit skeptical as to its cooling ability over its little brother the Hyper TX3. They share a very similar build design. Both utilize Heatpipe Direct Contact (HDC) technology, and have similar number of fins. The two big differences are the overall size which allows a larger 120mm fan and the addition of another heatpipe, bringing the total number of heatpipes up to four. This skepticism quickly wore off as testing began and the numbers came flowing in.

Packaging

The Hyper 212 Plus comes in a box not much larger than the cooler itself.

The 212 Plus comes with everything you need to attach it to a variety of socket mounts. Also included is a second set of fan mounting clips so you can add a second fan of your own.
