During October there was talk that the new Google Chrome Operating System was due to appear 'next month'. Well last month's next month is this month, and the talk has returned. There is now a fresh rumour doing the rounds that the first release of the OS might be with us in as little as a week. Will we see an alpha release of this new software before the end of November 2009?
If we do see a code release in the next week, it's fairly safe to assume that it won't come complete with drivers for every piece of hardware under the sun. Most likely, it'll have support mainly for the hardware which has been used for the initial testing and not much else. Here's hoping some of us have similar hardware available (assuming google decides to share that hardware list) so we can have a play with the second new OS to be released recently, albeit in a very early alpha state.
