Everyone who owns a laptop knows the convenience, and importance of a good laptop bag. The versatile laptop bag is for some a mobile office, and for others a mobile art studio. However, for most people the laptop bad just serves as a way of storing their laptop during transport. I would like to think that I fall into all 3 categories. A few months ago I asked be.ez to send me a sample of one of their laptop bags designed for a 15” laptop. They sent me the Be.ez LA besace 15. It’s designed for a 15” Macbook but will fit most 13” and 15” laptops. This is evident as My Sony Vaio which is a little bulky to today’s laptop standards fits snugly in the designated pocket. The interior sports 2 large pockets (one for the laptop) and 2 smaller zippered pockets as well as the normal pen / pencil holders, credit card pockets and an ID card slot. The exterior features one zippered pocket that runs the full length and width of the top flap.
To carry the bag you only have one option and that’s a wide shoulder strap. This could be a hindrance to some who like to carry their laptop bag like a briefcase. For me it was all I needed. The typical shoulder strap on most laptop bags is the normal 1.5 inch nylon weave that is prone to breaking or tearing after the first nick or cut compromises the weave structure. The Be.ez LA Besace 15 solves this problem by beefing up the strap to a full two inches wide and weaving it into what I can only describe as a seat belt strap that you would normally see in a car. Padding the strap from digging into your shoulder is a three inches wide by 10 inches long shoulder pad that is move able to any position on the strap on. I did everything I could to damage this strap short of cutting it with a knife and it did not show even the slightest sign of wear.
I usually have about 25 pounds worth of stuff inside my laptop bag at all times. This includes my laptop, Power brick, Legal pad, note book, business documents, Wacom Bamboo Pen and Touch graphics pad, iPod and ear buds, iPod charging cable, one highlighter,four pens, one pencil, business cards, press credentials, personal ID badge, and a magazine or two. This is a lot for a laptop bag to contain and still be relatively comfortable to carry. The Be.ez LA besace 15 contains and organizes all of this and more exceptionally well. Even at 25 pounds the shoulder strap is comfortable and does not dig into my shoulder like my previous bag did.
Over the last 2 months I have done everything I can to simulate a years worth of wear and tear on this bag. I have taken it everywhere with me and on most occasions, it has carried a payload of at least 25lbs. When eating lunch at a restaurant I would lay it on the floor and slide it under the table, have drug it across a concrete floor for over 300 feet on several occasions and it has been tossed around inside my vehicle countless times. The outside does not show the slightest sign of any abuse and even small stains wipe right off with a damp cloth. To test the Be.ez LA besace 15 to the max I loaded it down with as much weight as I could fit inside. The weight consisted of a 25 pound weight and an additional 15pounds of dumbbells. To me this simulated the most extreme load anyone would be carrying around in this laptop bag. I then went about my normal week carrying it everywhere I went. Not once did I hear a seam being split from the weight nor could I find any noticeable damage to the bag from the extra weight. The only thing I did notice was a sore shoulder from all of the extra weight.

The Be.ez LA besace 15 is one of the best laptop bags I have ever used. It is comfortable to carry, stylish and is very durable. I plan on using this one until it falls apart which by my estimates should be around the same time I die 70 years from now. I have been recommending this bag to all of my friends and am willing to put my reputation on the line when I say that this is one of the best laptop bags made. With that said I am giving it our highest rating of 5 out of 5.
