Hard drives are an important part of the computer system as they hold the operating system and all your files and programs.

There are a number of brands of hard drives in the marketplace. The two main brands are Western Digital and Seagate there are also a number of brands that just provide hard drives for server environments such as Fujitsu. Also there are some minor manufactures such as Hitachi, Hewlett-Packard and Maxtor.
