Installing PCI Cards
Installing PCI Cards

1) First make sure that you computer is completely unplugged (all devices and especially the mains connection). Also wear an anti-static wristband and connect it to a metal object to ground yourself.

2) To start remove you PCI card from its packaging and check it looks alright. Remember hold it by the edges making sure not to touch any components on it.

4) Insert the PCI card into the slot provided using a bit of pressure when necessary. Make sure that the ridge in the PCI slot and the groove in the care match up and fit alright. You will know when the PCI Card is fully in as it will not go any further.
