This tutorial explains how to freshly install windows 98 onto a computer.
Before purchasing Windows 98, you will need to make sure that your computer has the necessary specification required:
• 486DX 66 megahertz (MHz) or faster processor (Pentium recommended)
• 16 megabytes (MBs) of memory (24 MB recommended)
• 120 MB of free hard disk space (typical installation requires approximately 195 MB of free hard disk space, but the required space may vary from 120 MB to 295 MB, depending on your computer's configuration and the options that you choose to install)
• CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive
• 3.5-inch high-density floppy disk drive
• Video adapter and monitor that support video graphics adapter (VGA) or higher resolution

Once you have checked that your computer specification is up to scratch, lets get installing!

If not you need to change this setting to allow the CD/DVD-Drive to boot before the hard-drive. The order which your devices start, should be in the following order:
1st Floppy Disk Drive
2nd CD-Drive
3rd Hard-Drive
4th Other
Once you are certain that these setting are in the right order, exit the BIOS setup making sure you save the settings. The computer should restart it-self.
2) Once the computer has restarted insert the CD into the CD/DVD-Drive and wait for the following screen to load. Once this screen has loaded use the arrow keys to select 'Boot from CD-ROM' and select it using the return key.
