Automotive paint works best.. any autobody shop can mix custom colors for you, and most automotive supply stores sell it as well.

Make sure you follow the directions carefully, and practice on scraps first to make sure you get the procedure right. Check out some of Commando's work for some tutorials on making paint look great. :)

One last tip, dont mix brands. Go with the same brand for primer, paint, and clear coat to avoid unpredictable reactions between them. :)

and use the same type of plastic or metal if you can, i used engine enamel for my "another g15 mod" and it didn't want to adhere properly and then i went out and got some krylon plastic paint and it still did the same thing. i fixed it by sanding the surface and did a very light coat. it worked quite well.

What do you mean by that?

for a test piece to see what the paint does when its applied to that type of material, that way if it messes up you won't mess up your work piece.

well thats the thing, not fully sure. i know that metal is metal for the most part but as for the plastic maybe you can paint the side that won't show if any.
