Tip of advice, if you have a giant sub woofer next to your face, turn it down. ...or up if you want to feel what I felt. I would of said heard too, but I can't hear anything at the moment. Damn online tv shows that have your volume turned down too much so I have to crank mine up, then forget about it! lol
Well, I probably shouldn't have a giant sub woofer next to my head anyways. I can't imagine that being any good for my ear drums. lol

Thats 7,500 pounds of thrust by the way. According to this article...

I wonder what causes that kind of interlace affect you see in the flame? It looks pretty cool.

Dude the sound it makes when it ignites is freaking sweet. Reminds me
of a cannon or some type of alien spacecraft. As for the lacing, idk
i tried looking it up but couldnt find anything. Probably has to do with the
properties of the gas.

haha wicked, i played the video before i read what you said so it was a cool surprise. it reminds me of the sound of the nuke from crysis.
click here (http://science.nasa.gov/headlines/y2007/images/methaneblast/testfiring.wmv) to see the video bigger, you can see the rocket jump up a bit when it fires. also i thought it was just some guy with a truck but its a couple of trailers.
as for the lacing effect apparently it's called "The long flame was punctuated by bright spots called shock diamonds." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shock_diamond
