Question about... Homemade power control.

Ok here is the deal, im working on a case, first time build (making my own case from frame up, billionth set up with hardware) and i kind of went over the top and ended up chiseling out the power button (removing half of front case to insert airflow with dust vents)

So i was wondering, if i hooked up a plastic box that attaches to the side of my computer with a Rocker Switch inside, connected to the power cords, would it work?

As long as it was a momentary switch, it would work fine. Put a switch in for reset while your'e at it ;)

Im also putting in a reset switch, HDD and Power LED's, and i want to put in a small audio out/in (3.5mm Headphones/Mic) USB 2.0 x2 and maybe a firewire port.
