ok, i have a pcchips m955g mother board. has AGPX8 slot on it. but it flat out refuses to use my MSI agp card. im looking to upgrade to a better card any ways, but id like to find a AGP card that's 256+ ram that will work with this finicky mother bored. so any ideas would be awesome!!

AGP has passed its end of life, which makes it a pain to get a new card for it (plus they are expensive :( ). You may look into the Radeon HD 3850 (such as this one http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102730 ) if you are still gaming on that machine. But if your motherboard is flaky I really would save up the money to build a new system (that 2.8Ghz P4 is near minimum specs for new games).

Save up. You'll be much happier in the long run.

AGP is out. Most motherboards now have PCI-e x16 slots. Just save up for a cheap one and get a lower HD 4000 series card or something.
