The oil is too thin and not allowing his lifters to pump up fully and that is what is causing the noise. He is an idiot for putting 2 qts of oil additive in his engine anyway. But the LT1 is notorious for lifter tick and this just exaggerates the problem. Oil additives are a joke anyway. I make over 500hp in my stroked lt1 and run nothing but mobil 1 fully synthetic. Its got about 14k on her since the rebuild 2 years ago and she shows no sign of wear. Although if he is revving it up much with that low oil he may have began to spin some bearings. On another note LT1 are horrible at holding valve lash and his use of 2 qts of oil additive tells me that he is too stupid to change the oil much less remove the valve covers (not an easy task on a lt1) and lash the valves every year (not that hard of a thing to do if you are mechanically inclined. IMO if your too stupid to know how much oil you should buy then you are too stupid to own a car. Much less one with close to 300hp stock and will do 150mph with about half the pedal left.

DirtyLT1, I'm not trying to be mean BUT damn I just don't really know what to say... If this is not some Bull **** hoax and you need some help. I'm off Friday, Saturday and Sunday give me a call and I will let you know where my shop is and I will help you as much as I can.

this is gotta be a hoax. If not though, I wouldn't be surprised, my faith in humanity being the most intelligent life forms on Earth was shattered a long time ago.

EDIT: ok, later on in the thread he comes out and says its a hoax. lol

Did he actually say it was a hoax or was it the impersonator who said it was a hoax and then later in the post said he was a fake dirty.
