That is one ugly device. Even the name sucks. Boo. They should of just stuck with the original design and called it the PSP-4000 or something like that. They royally fudged up this one. Although, maybe thats just me?
What do you guys think?

I wish it would have been flip-top. To me that is why I tend to take the DS on the go more, because I don't have to worry about throwing it into a case so the screens don't get screwed up. I never take the psp anywhere simply because I need to lug it in something to protect it as it just isn't as resilient as the DS with the screen all exposed.
One analog stick fails as well. It it is supposed to be just an evolution of the first and not a new console I understand, but two joysticks really are a must for many games. Several games the controls feel gimped because of that.

I agree with Nightrain, also if they did a flip they could have had a second joystick and put the select/start above the 2 sticks.

I say they could have even done that with this design.

Hideous. Looks like a cheap POS hand held arcade game from back in the day.

Yea looks like a concept design to me. Preddy neat i think.
Kinda looks like the speaker grill has already been biffed though. :D

The picture is click-able, btw. Check out some of the other pictures in the link that follows. Some of them aren't just concept images, they have a few concept models too, which usually means that there is a good chance that what you are seeing is whats going to be released.
But there is still a chance that Sony will release something entirely different. Maybe this is just a distraction of sorts, or a prank led by Sony themselves, showing off one of their rejected concepts. I HOPE SO anyways. But I kind of doubt it.
Well, whatever. I'm not really too big of a on-the-go gamer anyways. Serious gaming in front of my computer screen, or puzzle-quest and tower defense on my ipod touch. Now if I could just get a camera or an iphone with a texting only plan... hint hint apple/att.

Looks like a pile of garbage. I just hope it's hackable for homebrew, 16GBs would be nice for it.

I would have preferred something along the likes of this concept (http://kotaku.com/361753/psp2-concepts-a-new-challenge). Many don't seem to like the concept (it was for a competition), as it is a little thick and the buttons could use some placement adjusting, but I like the design and would much prefer the flip top screen, though not double screened like this appears to be. Just a screen on the inside would be nice.

It doesn't look to bad. I'd worry more about the balance. If it feels like you are using your thumbs to keep it from flipping away from you, then it would suck!

It looks like a botched Sidekick DX.

Interesting... Its pretty even across the board so far. I'm kind of waiting for it to hit 6, 6, 6... just to see what happens. :p

the only reason they called it go is because they want to keep the psp 3000 running a long side psp go
from what i heard from e3 it's for people who hate umd discs and love none disc games
turns out it's real

Yeah and its going to sell at $250. Not sure how I feel about that. Meh I guess.
Why the hell don't they just upgrade the PSP original with internal flash AND ADD THAT FREAKING SECOND JOYSTICK. Then advertise one as UMD-less and the other as.. an upgraded model, now with internal flash memory.
I just don't see a point in this new product at all. Seems like a giant waste of time and money. If its not broken, then don't fix it.
