Ok so im looking into getting 2x GTX285s to replace my 2x XFX XXX 9800 GTs only problem is that my current cards are single lot and bumping up to a dual slot that would block my sound card how do i deal with this is my sound card worthless if i get a dual slot video card or is there some work around?

what board are you on? I've got a gtx275 in my top slot, and if i had another, i would still be able to use my bottom pci slot for my soundcard. If your soundcard isnt overly long, it wont get in the way of the gpu intake fan either, so no worries there about making the card overheat by blocking its intake air supply.
let us know your board, and i could give you a definite answer as to yes or no.

in that case, if you use both top pci-e slots, your very bottom pci slot will be available, given you dont have any other pci cards. your video cards will be sitting damn near on top of each other, but it will work.
either that, or buy a new pci-e soundcard:D

ok (thinks "WE NEED MORE AIR FLOW SCOTTY!" "IM GIVEN HER ALL SHES GOT CAPTAIN!") lol ok ill look into a pci-e sound card. if i cant find one at a reasonable price then im gonna need some serious air flow, but with a full atx case that shouldn't be a problem.

check these out then. depending on how high end you plan to go, but a base x-fi pci-e is about 55 bucks.

unless you want a titanium, which is about 100 bucks

or maybe you like asus products

i would suggest you stay away from the AuzenTech Forte Low Profile PCI-E, as it gets pretty bad customer reviews, and seems to have more cons than pros.
