I like the zune. I wish the Zune HD was phone. If Win7 phones come out with similar size, capacity, and CPU power as the Zune HD, then I might be all over it.

EDIT: Reading some articles it looks like I have no reason to fear. This is the phone I want.

I might actually end up buying one of these if they look good when they come out and if I can afford one. I have an iPod Touch and my brother has an iPhone. I'm not very pleased with my iPod, lol. These Windows phones look promising.

To be honest, I don't like the new interface.... but then again, I don't like the HTC TouchFlo interface either.

Looked great until the release date, I'm going to be starting a new contract on a new phone long before that date. Good to see that MS is getting serious about the phone markets.

I am pretty sure M$ just woke up one morning and was like wait, what the hell are we doing. We could completely own Apple yet aren't. So they decided to not suck any more, and then they made Windows 7 and now this.

Suck on it iPhone! Everything about this phone OS is better than iPhone OS for me. I don't need to dock this to use, finally. Will use zune manager for music, great. Phones from several manufactures and not locked to one carrier, way it should be. The biggest complaint I'm hearing is no twitter. Frankly twitter is a SMS service, which is how I use it now and since it is a phone I'm sure it will support SMS. Having an app for twitter just adds a clunky interface, plus I'm sure a decent apps developer will make a Phone 7 app for twitter before or soon after it's released.

To be honest, I've been using Windows Mobile for years. I can connect and sync with my laptop via bluetooth (even quicker to setup with Windows Vista and Windows 7). I could use Windows Media Player to organise the music on the MicroSD card, even via bluetooth.

I don't understand why these companies won't let us multitask anymore... I'm running WinMo 6.1 on my Xperia X1 and I multitask all the time. They need to put some kinda taskbar on this thing so we can switch between running programs.

Other then that it looks like a nice refresh from the old WinMos. The name sucks though, but oh well. All I need is someone from XDA to port it to my phone and I'll be a happy camper for the most part. Of course by time this comes out and gets ported the HD3 should be out and I'll probably go for it.

Oh, and I wanna see how Xbox LIVE will work on it.

After looking at the Windows Team Blog and watching a video about it, it's not too bad, but I'd love to see some more specs.

Must be your phone because i have a drop down taskbar that shows me whats running and allows me to kill it both when i was running 6.1 and now 6.5. I love the new htc sense, uses less power then touch flo2 did so i am happy all around with my Touch Pro 2 running 6.5 it must be your xperia idk.

Agreed. I multitask the crap out of my N900, and in all seriousness, I can't imagine how I would function if I couldn't. It seems like such a step backwards for companies to not let us multitask...and doesn't seem to have any relation to the hardware in the phone.

Maybe they just want to simplify everything as much as they can. I read some news article about people wanting desktops that are as simple to use as the iPhone. So basically a touch screen and very basic interface. That would be excellent for people that don't have a lot of computer knowledge but it would limit advanced users a bit much.

Windows Phone 7 is definitely the biggest step that Microsoft has taken in the mobile phone space. I have some information about it.
Every Windows Phone 7 device will have three buttons on the front: Start, Search, and Back. Windows Phone 7 focus on productivity, simplicity, music, and gaming. It is trying to integrated both Xbox Live and Zune into Windows Phone 7. For office hub Access to Microsoft Office suite, including OneNote and SharePoint Workspace.
