These are the specs.

GIGABYTE GA-H55 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128437)

Lite-On 24x DVD (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827106335)

Raidmax 530w (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817152028)

Intel i-5 650 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115220)

Cooler Master Elite 310 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119202)

500gb WD Hard drive (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136596)

OCZ 4GB DDR3 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820227589)

Now with all that I have ordered it should at least turn on and go into BOIS or something right? All it does is power up for a few seconds then turns off, then powers up, then off, and it just keeps doing this loop.

Is something I bought not compatible with something else? Am I missing something? Should this be turning on like I was expecting?

try taking everything off but the processor and the ram. unplug everything, plug it back in. then try. put in only 1 dimm of ram. check the cables again. lol... 90% of the time its a partially connected cable or a bad ram stick

It all looks fine in theory. Do you have a different PSU that you could test it with? It sounds suspiciously like it's overloading a weak/dead PSU. The PSU you have should be fine with the load (assuming it's not bad)..though that "up to 80%" efficiency rating worries me...makes me wonder what it is most of the time if that's all they can say. Also, try pulling the CMOS battery to hard-reset the BIOS. Sometimes stuff gets weird.

Unplugged everything and plugged back in and now its working and in BIOS! Hell yeah now all I need is an OS lol

I'm guessing he's using the Clarkdale GPU built into the CPU?

that and the board has onboard video :D

The onboard video isn't really there though, it's just electrical hookups. If you try and use the 'onboard' video without a Clarkdale CPU it won't do anything. It's Intel's way of lowering the bottom line for both themselves and MBB manufacturers by lumping the 'onboard' GPU into the CPU die.

I'm saving graphics for last and plan on getting a HIS 5770. Next will be buying the OS and getting everything set up just using the graphics from the cpu.
