Drupal Help!

Ok so I've got a website domain already and I'm trying to set up drupal. I used the hosting service's application to install drupal, I just can't figure out how to upload a theme and set it. I've got the theme I want downloaded as well. I tried following some tutorials but they seem to be Linux-oriented, and I'm a Linux noob and don't even have a computer with it installed. Anyone care to help me out a bit? :D

Are you running 6.x or 7.x? 7.x is a helluva lot easier, theme/module installation wise.

pretty sure it's 7.x, I'll check for sure when I get home. I'm using 1&1 hosting as well

I can't help AT ALL because I refuse (don't have time) to learn Drupal :P

Its not too bad.. I have only done a few 7 installs. It does make things a bit easier.
