This one (along w/ a new paintjob for the sides, not the front) will complete my mod. I need ideas for creating a fan base for the PC. Thanks!

Something to match the red, but with a cleaner, sleeker design. Probably lit by LEDs (purple to match the lights). Basically, it slips under the bottom, and will push cool air in through the bottom and will be pulled from the top.

Do you have any worklog/plans/pictures we can go from? I'm still not seeing what you are thinking about.

*sigh* I guess it shouldn't be in the idea zone if it didn't take a little imagination.

Hmmm, I haven't a clue of what you are talking about. The fan base... the base part of a cooling fan? At first I thought you were talking about a place for fans (people). Anyways, what are you trying to match the base of the fan with? It would be easier to help you if you could paint me a picture either with actual pictures or words. Such as describing the computer your matching the fan with? If that makes sense? lol I'm not sure it will though, I almost confused myself...

For example, say you have a Red Asus Vento and you want to customize one of the fans so it matches the Red Asus Vento. It would then be alot easier for myself or anyone else to help you, Since we don't know what you are thinking. We need more details, we cant just give you ideas for a fan base out of thin air. ^^

Do you mean something like a notebook cooler but for a PC?

or is it something like a side panel made of fans? See this (http://www.peteredge.orcon.net.nz/casepics.htm#cfc)
^I think the latter is "cooler" :D

Yes, that's it. I think I have the idea down. I'll draw up one :D.

Glad I could be of help!
When you put fans on the bottom of the case, make sure there is enough room between the fans and the floor. Using a filter would be a good idea (there's a thread on it), especially if you have carpet.

Yeah, filter = good idea. Its gonna have to be super thin though, because those fans aren't gonna blow a lot of air with thick ones :p. Also, instead of a fan base, I might create a fan base for the top (for looks, and cuz heat rises).

Is it customary for you to insult folks you ask for advice?

Seriously, that was kind of uncalled for. You asked us for advice, we didn't understand it but still wanted to help, so we asked you for elaboration and we get an insult.

I still have no clue what you mean, really. I'm looking forward to your drawing.
