is it possible to use ultra cold cathodes and a sunbeam sound module or would the cold cathode burn out or something?

are you talking about a fan controller panel, or just the little sound box.

actually, now that i think about it, if its just a sound reactive box that isnt controlling anything but the 12v line going to the inverter, then its prolly ok to mix. as long as the cathodes and the inverter are the same company.

I've had meltdowns as well with the blue boxes AND matched cathodes. So have others (http://www.casemodgod.com/ccfl_inverter_rant.htm). Get quality metal boxes meant for the automotive applications, they are more robust

maybe i should do some test before i put it into my case

im taking the modules from the ultra cold cathodes and hooking them up to the sunbeam sound module. so its cold cathode(ultra) to a module(ultra) connected to a sound module(sunbeam) to regulate the power on and off, sound module.

so i should return the ultra cold cathode and buy sunbeam to use with sound module?
anyone know somewhere reliable to buy a 12'' uv and 12'' blue
