I've been modding xboxes for a while now, and have been a member on the xbox-scene.com forums for about a year and a half now, and over this time period I've done quite a few case mods to many an xbox. well, that's all the pictures i have, but there are several others you guys don't get to see. the oblivion 360 was recently featured in an article on ampednews.com click here (http://www.ampednews.com/features/243/5). the blue and white 360, the apple 360, and the black 360 are actually all the same 360s (mine) and i have just redone it three times. i actually just got done with the switch to the black with purple lights (yes they are purple, not blue) from the powermac 360. that's all i can think of to say right now, so feel free to comment or shoot some questions at me. :)

thats awsome man, nice work, my friend just gave me his old xbox and i wanted to paint it and stuff, i dont even know how to take it apart though, or ad leds, or anything really hahah

Probably chopped it himself. :) Not too hard to do a mod like that..

After my 80gb hdd upgrade, I only load a disc ONCE. All my games are ripped to my hdd, and load times ROCK. :D

I"m guessing that you have a modchip installed in there, as everytime I try to boot my box without the dvd drive attached, I get the "fatal error/service" message. (Mine is softmodded) I tell ya though.. that slim box looks PIMP.

I got a 80 gig in mine too; Maxtor. But yeah, I've gotta try that CD window mod out.

i do have a modchip (xenium gold, if you're curious) and with the right bios or a custom bios, you can disable dvd drive check on boot, which is what i did. or you could do a tsop flash with the right bios and leave the modchip out of the deal, but that might be a conversation for another time

Nice mods, i have a friend who started modding on xboxes as well. Hes done it all, from mod chips custom windows / led's. There isnt much more you can do to an original xbox lately, but nice

i didn't buy it, i made it out of plexi

first i cut out the circular area above the spindle from the original dvd cover. next i sized and cut a piece of plexiglass to cover the dvd drive and marked where the spindle should go. i then proceeded to glue it into it's correct spot with hot glue. however, i didn't want the hot glue and all that mess to be shown, to i taped over the plexi and cut out a circle just above where the spindle was glued, and then proceeded to paint a black circle directly on the plexiglass so it looks nice and clean ;)

Ok, I never took apart my DVD drive before. It doesn't look too hard to cut. I'll ask for help if I run into a problem.

funny... ive been floating around xbox-scene for quite some time... admiring henmills work... his slim box is what inspired mine originaly... dude... good to see ya on these forums :)

I've seen a nice touch on youtube where they took the badge off an original Xbox and attached it to the centre of the 360s dvd drive.. real flush and nice.. And i think it spins too but im not shure :S:S
