I'm looking for something to allow me to record a video of whatever is going on on my screen. I have CamStudio, but it seems to have limited options, and I'd like to know what else there is.

'Fraps' any good to ya?

Don't know much about it.... do a google.

Hypercam 2. Theres a free version but they slap "Hyper CAM" on the corner of whatever you record. Google it.

Fraps can only record games and videos. And I already have it.

Hypercam2 is the easiest. You get to select the area of the screen you want to record, hit record and hit stop when you're done.

No huge software, not milliond of tools or anything. Plain and simple.

I've used Hypercam years ago. I don't feel like using hat. As for Fraps file sizes, my Fraps folder is currently 20.6GB
