Welcome to the forums!

A very popular way to light your case all over are Cold Cathodes, aka CCFLs (http://www.xoxide.com/cathode.html). They have good all-over lighting, and are bright. They will make your case glow. Another good way is the use of Lazer LEDs (http://www.xoxide.com/logisys-jumbo-led-uv.html). They are brighter and cover more area than normal LEDs, and are also smaller than Cold Cathodes and less prone to die or start on fire. They don't have very even lighting, but that can be fixed, with, what else, MODDING!

Have fun with the mod mate, and again, welcome!

How many would you say I should get to light up a mid tower fully? Thanks again.

a single 12" ccfl will usually put light in just about every corner of your case, but just for good measure i'd put 2 or 3, or 10 :)

Welcome to TBCS! You could also use led fans, they shed some light but if you really want to light the entire thing. Cold cathodes are the way to go.

The dual cold cathode pack I posted will put light everywhere. I have the same one with white cold cathodes, and its BRIGHT. I plugged them in to my test PSU in my basement, lit up the whole room. For the Lazer LEDs, depends on where you place them. You could go as low as 2, or as high as 4 or 5 depending on the lighting look you're going for. Just want overall light? 2. Want to accent some feature of your case? 2 for overall lighting, 1 hidden but facing at the feature.

ive got 2 Led 120 mm circulation fans, another 120mm led on my heatsink, and that didnt make me happy. so.. i went out and bought 10 seperate Led's. They werent the brightest, but i wanted to accent features in my case, like my chrome accents, thermalright heatsink, video card etc.

id prefer Led's over ccfl's anyday. dont have to worry about the inverter's catching fire (which ccfl's are notorious for) and you can hide led's, so you only get the glow, and not the bright light itself.

thats all IMHO of course. good luck

I've had great luck with the Ultra brand CCFL's...four 12" UV lights and it's solid baby! YEA!
