Rusty steel...

It ended up looking more like a chunk of rock to me for this experiment :down: . Didn't sand the putty filler, but this is what i manage to come up with. Used black base, dead grey, and then brown. Still experimenting with the putty n paint. Any suggestions on how to improve it? Cant afford airbrush kit... :neutral:

2. Paint, then sand, then paint, then sand, etc.

Will clear spray do any help? Seems like after I sanded it and clear spray it, the clear spray kinda blur/merge the colors @_@
