Where to put fans

W'hai.

Sorry, I'm a total newb to this...
But I was wondering, what do people do when they need more fans than the case holds? And what are these kinda fan door thingies like on this case...

Well, here, we cut holes in the case. :)

Installing an extra fan is the most common mod. I don't think you'll find someone here with a post count over 50 who hasn't done it, so don't be afraid. Have a look through the worklogs, and you'll get some ideas on how to install them. :)

I was about to say I never put an extra fan in any of my computers but I remembered that I added a fan/heatsink combo to replace the heatsink only setup on an old P1 in a socket 7 motherboard.

And yes that computer is in a box.

Anyway I found a replacement part for that fan rack, from that exact case I believe, which can be added to almost anycase you want. You probably just need to cut a hole in the side panel. http://www.performance-pcs.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=210&products_id=4404
