Hey I am going to get some new tools tommorow and I noticed a sale at Canadian tire for a Jobmate toolkit.

I need some new tools since my roommate is taking half of them even though he did not pay for most of them nor does he ever use them at all.

It looks like jobmates prices are always below what all the other brand names are. I currently have a lot of mastercraft tools and am happy with them but at the same time need to save some money since I am moving this month.

Can anyone tell me whether or not it is Jobmate is a brand worth buying or not?

Also how is the brand Ironforce?

Never heard of Ironforce, but we have some Jobmate tools, they're quite basic. They can last, as long as you don't force them to the limit (for example, trying to change your alternator in your car when it's really stuck...), they are worth the price you'll pay for them.

What do you plan to do with this kit?

I am using the kit for small jobs aroud the house. There are quite a bit of things that need fixing up and ofcourse computer modding  .

If it will last, then I will probably purchese the kit. I plan on getting some better quality tools later but I need some now to get me by.

Jobmate is a value brand. If it says "heavy duty" then its really medium duty.

I have a jobmate toolkit that i got for $50. The ratchets broke really quick. The wrenches are doing fine along with the sockets.

For wrenches, its better to go name brand with a life time warranty.

You can build yourself a free set of tools if you find old craftsmans or mastercraft tools and exchange them for new replacements.

Yea I know they are a value brand and that is why I bought them for now. I got a nice toolkit for $50 and it was on sale too :P lol. Like I said before this will do just fine for me for a while. It came with a little bit of everything. So from now on when I need a new tool or a tool I don't have I will buy a brand like mastercraft.

Speaking of, I did buy a new dremel tool. It is a nice 250 piece set. I am happy with it so far. Came with a lot of attachments which is nice.

I was asking about the ironforce earlier because they were having a huge sale on their power tools. For $100 I could have bought sander, drill, jigsaw, reciprocating saw. I usually like buying nice brands for power tools, like mastercraft so you know that it is going to last a long time.

By the way Cana, do you mean dig up some old mastercraft tools and send them in for replacement using lifetime warrenty?
