I am gonna be in Singapore for the next five days so I probably won't get on the forums.

I will share with you when I get back the wonders I have bought from the tech shopping nirvana that is Singapore.

Hello from Singapore

The members lounge of the hotel I am in has free wifi. So currently I am 30 stories up in a comfortable arm chair sipping a cold tiger beer and looking out over the Singapore skyline.

Today I went to Sim Lim square. Basically a 8 story shopping centre that only has computer stores. There is even a store which just sells case modding gear and cases. Full Lian Li cases go for like $90 Australian here. But RAM is like 40% more expensive then back home.

Duuuude, you're so lucky. Hong Kong has those crazy technology buildings too, I bought my camera and graphics tablet from one for like, half the Australian price. I am SO jealous right now.

You are actually going to see the sights of Singapore, right? Not just stay holed up either at your hotel on your laptop, or at various technology shopping centres?

Yes I am doing all the toursity things eating chili crab while watching the ships moving through the Malaka straits. Drinking Singapore Slings in the Raffles Hotel. Indulging in the national pastime shopping.

Women and men over 50 just get huge fines instead but guys get hit.

You arent even aloud to have your headphones really loud on public transport as if anyone else can here it you get fined.

The rattan cane they use is 1.2 metres long and up to 1.27 cm thick and is soaked in water so it is more flexible.

Also chewing gum is illegal here.

Sounds extreme and inhumane to some, but Singapore is the cleanest city in the world as a result.
