well its been interesting lately.... both my comps went down the P4 wasnt any too plzd.... went to sleep and woke up to the BSOD tried to reset it but it wouldnt post.... so i spent like 2 hrs takin it apart to figure out what it might be.... stripped it down to just the mobo 1 stick of ram and onboard video.... still wouldnt post.... i was like wtf....this aint cool..... checked every damn part.... nothing smelled funny... (best electronic sensor is the nose :P) all the parts seemed to be in order....i reset the cmos and it decided to boot... i was like w0000t.... till i realized it didnt recognize either of my HDs.... again i was stumped.... so after fidlin around with cables... it decided it saw them (i guess either a molex or IDE is shortin) so now its back up and.. well... semi happy... cept the fact that my CD RW drive seems to be fragged (if anybody wants to give one away lemme know :P) now onto my laptop.... i shut it off.... while i was at a lady friends place..... and put it in its case... we went out for the day.... and came back to see her mom had done some tidy work..... the laptop was moved.... i tried to fire it up... to play a lil insaniquarium (rly addictive) wouldnt fire up.... lights were still on showin it was in sleep mode.... and when i plugged it in the bat light came on.. .everyting seemed fine.... cept it wouldnt fire up.... so today (yesterday rly..... its like 1 am now) i tore it apart.... found that the HD rack for it is cracked (blames emachine for crappy parts) and the screen hinges were cracked (blames emachine even more) so i repaired all these lil things and it finaly booted... got no clue as to why it didnt work... jus know it didnt....tho i am guessin it took a pretty decent knock when it got moved... but now i got both machines happy and running.... it was pretty bad to have to rely on my xbox fer msn and web surfing... typin with a control sux.... royaly..this is just my bit.... if any of u have had troubles like these... post em..... let the complaint on technological bull$ reign here.... cuz i know i aint the only one who gets nailed with this crap heh

Im gonna be honest and tell you that I didn't read your post past the first sentence(wait that's a lie, it is one giant run on), but maybe if you used less "..."s and more English your computer wouldn't hate you as much. And I would be happier too as I would be able to read your post.

a few weeks ago one of my friends got a new computer and he asked me to do a bit of modding on it so i cut out a window, put in some leds and fans and replaced the power, hdd and dvd drive leds. We put everything back together and everything fired up ok but then before it booted it came up with some error and rebooted over and over again. at this point i was ****ting myself, i mean it's one thing breaking your own stuff but when you break your friends stuff it's another thing. we were both puzzzled for ages but then we unplugged one hdd and booted from the other one which also had widows on. it booted fine, we plugged the other hdd back in and everythig worked fine.
Weird or what?

Funny, something like that happened to me...
Could ping by IP address (including my DNS) but couldn't ping by URI.
So could to a site by putting (for example) 12.110.110.204 in the address bar, but not by putting (for example) nsa.gov in the address bar.

I spent the rest of the day suffering withdrawal symptoms...

You can always try "ipconfig /flushdns" from a prompt. :D Or, try changing to a diff dns server.

Well, it works now. *crosses his fingers* but $ISP is pretty craptacular, so I don't know how long it's gonna last.
*now on the hunt for a better DNS server*

And yes, I do know the IP of the NSA's public facing webserver off by heart. In fact, I remember it quicker than my phone number.

I went to Burger King today...
Asked for a 99cent CHOCOLATE milk shake.

Got back a horrendously tasting 'thing'.
Turns out, Mrs Einstein behind the counter mistook the C H O C O L A T E syrup for the B A R B E C U E ( B B Q ) syrup.

Yes. I drank two full swigs of BBQ-flavored Vanilla Milk Shake.
Ugh.
That is all.
