a emachine with a bad power supply ((this one seems a little ehhh)) for 30

I also have a few e-mails out to people who posted yard sales, asking what they wanted for their pcs.

Yep! I usually never find anything worth pursuing but apparently spring cleaning came early (late? whichever way you wanna look at it...) this year. There's a guy getting rid of TONS of piii stuff for 2 and 3 dollars but it just isnt worth the hassle for me to deal with p2 and p3 parts. I may check it out though... everything has a price tag... surely more than 2 bucks.

Unfortunately, I missed out on two free cars! They were early 90's Mercedes... not worth a ton but could have EASILY flipped them for 1-2,000 the day it hit the autotrader. :o(

well today I got 3 free computers and last weekend I got a free case.

The PCs I got today were a 486, an AMD K6 and some other old Intel PC running Win 3.1.

They were payment for the labour in doing the Pink Bits PC.
The other case I got last weekend is an Acer case I swapped a friend for two 80mm case fans.

I'll post up some pics tomorrow of the 4 cases and what my plans for them are in a new thread.

From what I can see, it seems to be a 15" LCD and I have no idea what kind of tower that is...

I tried looking up similar computers and found one picture of a HP except it was black and gray, not white and gray. (I'd link it but the only pic was 2000x#### and redirected you to download a powerpoint.

I wish I had an extra 200 bucks... that office setup is sweet... they said they paid 2000 for it. o.O

I got there... beautiful house... he had the whole statues-around the house-deals going on. I was excited as hell for this new computer (brand new vaio btw and lcd)

...he pulls out some homely looking PII.

He's selling a 2000 dollar office setup for 200... He's selling a 2000 land rover with 70k miles on it for 5,000... and he wants to sell me a PII for 50 bucks.

Dammit... I'm watching CL like a hawk now so stay tuned! :twisted:

Just sold one board for 45 bucks and threw in a power supply for an extra 20 :oD

I guess a surge killed his computer and he's using his sons laptop.
