But it works and the price was right.
my 27 is on its way out.
have to run crazy resolutions to keep it from jumping and doing some sort of crazy color flicker.
supposed to be a 1920x1200 monitor. right now its at... 1440x900
and it changes every day which is the crazy part. one day its fine at 1920x1200 another its 1600x1220 another its 1440x900.

My two monitors feel best at 1280*1024.
I've run them at 1600*1200, but I feel that that is just way too small

You can keep the high resolution but increase the dpi/scaling and get the best of both worlds.
Re: Satan Claus Giveaway - Sept Awarded! More coming!
really???
how do you do that?

On your desktop (in windows vista/7)
Hold down the left control and then scroll the mouse wheel. (make sure you click the background first)
also works in internet browsers and other windows.
You can also just open start, type "dpi" and that'll bring up the "make text and other items smaller or larger"
i think 96dpi is the default which is actually pretty small @ 1600x1200 but i'm gotten used to small text over the years.
Re: Satan Claus Giveaway - Sept Awarded! More coming!
cool, i'll keep that in mind when my mother starts complaining about how small the text is on her netbook.
Re: Satan Claus Giveaway - Sept Awarded! More coming!
In XP you just go into the advanced settings of the display properties, there you can set the text size.
Re: Satan Claus Giveaway - Sept Awarded! More coming!
Naw, I think that increasing the DPI puts things out of proportion.
Besides, I think that running it that high is bad for the monitor.

it's fine, its just software scaling the icons and crap. its not like physically overdriving some hardware or something to make the letter A have 10 pixels instead of 7.
and DPi settings can f@#k with some video games, but its mostly the cheesy games that grandma would play like farmville and such.

I've got my hands on some games to give away too!
Random winners will receive copies of HawX 2, Shogun 2, or the new Batman: Arkham City! I have two copies of each game available. The winner will get downloadable codes for a specific website or Steam.
