    Default Namesake

I've been meaning to do another demon/devil project ever since I sold my Paradise Lost case. So here we start again.

I bought a human spine prop and a devil skull to mount on an old Dell. 1st I attached the base of the spine to the bottom of the right side.

I just used a nut to hold it on the reverse side.

Later, you won't be able to see this.

These cool needle loop looking things actually came with the spine. They held the tail bone to the hips which I removed.

I used them on the right panel to aid in holding down the spine.

I used a little wire to tie it down

Then I screwed down the top.

Then just for show (because I'm not quite ready) I added the skull.

    Finally, more has arrived!

    That's a hand...

I think I'll probably have another give away before Halloween for the human skull and all the bones I'm not using.

This is what I have in mind for the windowed left panel.

What do you think about the window, #1

    or #2

Alright, I had a nearly new can of expanding foam, but it was clogged. I gently used a drill to punch a small hole, but it went all the way in!! The pressure BLEW and sprayed everywhere!

I added the foam to the base of the spine to make it appear as though the spine is barely poking through. This effect also covers up the support pins and rivets.

Here's what it looks like when you add black and red to the foam. LET THE FOAM CURE BEFORE PAINTING. Otherwise it'll dissolve!

There's a lot to be done. The paint is a first coat. When done it will look like "cooling lava", some parts will be black, some will be red. Please don't judge too harshly as I've just begun.

I think I may make a non-specific shaped window like this:

Most are ancient. Apple II clone, socket 370's, socket 7's, boards from TRS-80's, Commodore Coco's, even Kaypro's and Durons, and the first 8088 board.

    Anyway...

I started on the blowhole. First I cut it.

Then started on the foam buildup.

    Look how thick it is!

Next up, the right side. I added a hand

    Then added red

    And some darker "rotten" tones.

Then the top. It looked too flat, so I added some larger vein looking areas.

    And red

    Then darken

So here's how I'm doing the front grill. The arm will reach across the left panel and the hand will hold the grill in place.

These next few pics are to update you to where I'm heading...

The second from the top. The top bay will be partially covered by the skull's lower jaw. As of right now there will be no system going in this case. It's just gonna be a case mod, not a system build. BTW, I've already been offered $100 when the case is complete.

Wow, I have been entirely too busy to Mod anything lately, but I do have updated pics.

Here's the Athlon XP system I will put in when I finish, but it's not staying. I've already had someone offer to buy the case from me when I'm finished. The buyer will be installing an Intel Quad Core system with 3GB RAM, 500GB HD, 8800 GTX, etc.

I am pretty sure you don't have the arm bones put together correctly. I think at leat one of those is a leg bone... (there is smoke coming out of my ears as I try to remember my anatomy classes from 30 years ago...) Boy I am old...
I couldn't get the right bones, so I just had to make due. You want to hear something real freaky?

I was actually bidding on a set of arm bones for this mod that were real!! There was an estate sale for a real human skeleton from a doctor's office and I was outbid. Can you imagine how much cooler this project would be if I actually had won real arm bones to mount on a computer case?!?!
