Mod software?

What do you guys use to plan out a mod? I'm looking but batting 0 with my results

Sketchup is what most people here use... I tend to just sketch out my ideas on paper.

Sketchup is pretty much the standard for modding uses. Otherwise, a few people around here use 3DSM, C4D and... well, that's it. But unless you have $3,500 laying around, go with Sketchup .
