That is awesome. It might go a little something like this...
*cheesy boxing announcer voice* AAAAND in the Blue corner, our reigning chammmpiiioon, the Sunnyvale Slugger, weighing in at an incredible 2400Mhz, the one, the only AMD Athlon 64 4800+ Dual-Core!!! *crowd goes wild* And innnn our Red corner, the ex-champion of the world, nocked from its pedistal in this very ring last year, the old hand, weighing in at a staggering 3200Mhz, the Intel quote unquote 'silver bullet', the Pentium Extreme Edition!!!!!
Lets get reeeaddy to RRUUUMMMBLLLLEEEE!!!!
DING DING
*30 seconds later*
*cheesy boxing commentator voice* You know Stan, I would never have believed it if you had said it to me yesterday, Intel absolutely crushed, actually bursting into flames and exploding in the first 10 of round one. It's just incredible...
*cheesy boxing co-commentator voice* Your right Mike, but you know what this means? It means we are seeing a new golden age of CPU bouts!
*1st cheesy boxing commentator voice* Absolutely Stan! We haven't seen anything like this since... since Mouhammad 486! Unbelievable... Well ladies and gentleman, that wraps up tonights coverage of the CPU BATTLE ROYALE, thankyou all for tuning in, signing off from the city of sin, Las Vegas, I'm Mike Ruch.
*cheesy boxing co-commentator voice * And I'm Stan Dardsandpracticescommission, thankyou again, and goodnight!

Wow, I have a feeling this is going to get dirty, but it won't be Athlon 64 x2vs. Pentiium D. It is supposed to be Opteron x2 vs. Xeon D (if that's what Intel decides to call it). My guess is that Intel busts out Hyper-Threading and totally pwns AMD in the face.
Finally, a signature-worthy computer:
Pentium D 830 3.0 GHz x2
GeForce 6800 GT @ 400/1100
1 GB DDR2 PC5300 5-4-4-15 RAM @ 4-4-4-12
2 x 160GB SATA2 HD's in RAID1
SB Audigy 2 ZS
Asus mobo based on Intel 945
Enermax silent 535W PSU
Tt Big Typhoon CPU cooler
DVD +/- R/RW DL and DVD-ROM
and some other stuff
haha, it's on
intels gonna need more than hyper threading to beat opteronx2
blue skies, green grass
Well Considering the X2 support HyperThreading code. so I am sure they will need something besides one standard to push ahead (An I used both type of processors).Originally Posted by niko7209
