Cannibalising an old laptop...

I know that this is probably a newbie question but...

I have an old laptop that the mobo and processor are goosed on, but as far as I know everything elso is good.

What i'd like to know is: Is it possible to rehouse the screen and use it with a desktop system?

try searching the net for instructions on making your own projector, nearly all of them use lcd screens from old monitors and dead laptops, all you'll need to do is ignore the bit where you remove the back lighting from the panel. you'll probably have to take a vga cable apart and solder the wires individually to the screens controller card, and not sure how the power supply would work
