Yeah, but currently they have to be the same generation and series.
i.e. 3850 and 3870, or 4850 and 4870, or 4650 and 4670, etc.
Hope that helps,

Yes you can, In fact that is the major advantage of crossfire over SLI, but don't forget, you can only use ONE MONITOR if you crossfire or SLI (just mentioning this for people who don't do their homework and get very upset when they can no longer use both their monitors).
Good luck Satan

But wouldnt it just be easier to have 1 card per screen? I guess if card1 < card2 and you want to even them up i'd understand...but if they're equal you might aswell just use 2 un crossfire'd cards?
you can they have to be in the same serioes for examble im runing 4870 and 4850 its the same as if i was runing 2 4850 so preforamance wise stick with the same card I have doen 2 4850 and then bought a 4870 for another computer so i stuck it in my main one to see if there was a diffrence and there was nothing same as if you run 2 of the lower card
Is it still the case today, that cards have to be from the same series? I`ve got an 3870 and am buying a new 5770 and was wondering if i could crossfire them...
