Anything over 25mm should be thick enough well I g2g!
you need a fridge aswell because you can store drinks for when you are working because i find i get a dry throat when i were those mask thingies also get snacks so when you are working on something which you cant leave for more than a second you can get some food !!!!!!! also you should get some sound proofing because its ok if you have power tools in your shed or garage but when your in your room its right next to a wall and you will be able to hear the sound throughout the house and your neighbours will complain
More UK modders...... nice.
tecguy - Wickes have a 2m kitchen worktop for £13.99 I think. Got a couple to make work surfaces in my garage.
Few pieces of wood for the legs and bobs your uncle, nice sturdy workbench.
Plus with it being for the kitchen, it has a nice plastic finish. Even think you get a choice of colours.
Best price I found, plus Wickes are all over the country, so there should be one close.
Where abouts in London you live?
I used to live in SW15 (Putney and Fulham), but now I'm out in the sticks.
Sarcasm - Is only one of the services I offer.
Well if you're going real low budget here's a few ideas.
- peanut butter jars (clear plastic with wide tops)
- Deli food containers are clear and pretty tough.
- Fuji film contaniers are also clear
For a cheap work bench you could start with an old door and some saw horses.
you might want to keep an eye out for big appliance boxes, like dishwashers, refrigerators. You could set one up to do your sawing, drilling and sanding over/in. It should help contain the mess.
