    Default Benchmark Software?

What does everyone use for Benchmark Software? I want to see what this bad boy can do!

    Thanks!

And on an unrelated note. The Nzxt Phantom IS GINORMOUS. I didn't even think to check. Just imagine my surprise! I'm pretty used to PC's the sizes of netbooks or say an Xbox 360 for desktops. It's bigger than my cheap-o k-mart entertainment stand. Hilarious. /unrelated note

Hmm. So I used the Asus Rampage software to overclock my GPU, but when I did the CPU it BSOD'd at 3.7GHz and now it's at 3.33GHz in the program but its still 3.07GHz everywhere I look.

Maybe the GPU isn't over-clocked either?

This stuff is confusing. Here I thought they made it easy for me. lol

You have a 6970? For overclocking, try MSI afterburner.

For the CPU - Go to bios, drop the ram multiplier, then bump up the FSB by ~10mhz, reboot, check stability (prime 95 for ~30 min) then go back to bios and do it again. When you BSOD go back to bios and go down. You can Add voltage to go higher, just make sure you have time to do it right, a sloppy OC can cause more trouble than good.

For some reason when I go into the bios all that's there are HDD options. Not a single thing else really.

thats is mostly everything i use.

i wish someone would sticky that...

also software overclocks suck. i can do 3.7 in a bios oc but in aod i can only do about 3.4 then i bsod.

edit: also when over clockign your video card you can do a bios mod but thats kind of dangerous if you dont know what your doing. the other way is to use amd over drive in the ati control center. or riva tuner. use gpu-z to check and see your clocks.

link to my guide on flashing your vbios.

Great thread! I used some of the tools last night for my evga card. I couldn't get the amd overclocking cpu stuff to work, kept getting errors even after driver updates, oh well. Curious to see what i can do with my 8800GT.

I'll have to research this, never OC'd a GPU before.
