Question about using an OCZ Revo drive

So, I did that theme case for OCZ to be displayed at the store where I work. OCZ has decided that they'll be giving me the new Revo Hybrid drive to add to the case. It's a 1TB 2.5" drive and a 100GB SSD all rolled into a PCIe x4 card.

Question:

The only slot I have readily available is a second x16 slot (Gigabyte Z68-UD3H-B3). If I put the card in the open x16 slot will my video card (GTX 560 SC), in the other x16 slot, drop down to x8?

I found out that the video card will run at x8 while the Revo is installed. I don't know what kind of real performance hit I'll see in the video card. I guess I'll have to do a before and after with Unigine or something

It is my understanding that the only cards that come close to using more than 8x bandwidth are the dual GPU cards and even they don't use the full x16 pipe, the idea behind PCI-E was that at the time of its release it was completely un-needed, the bandwidth demand simply wasn't there... but it would be... Your GPU isn't designed to max out the port, the port was designed to max out your GPU... Don't think of that 8x split as "lost" bandwidth... Think of it as "reclaimed" bandwidth.
