Okay so you wont win 100 bucks. But I do need help chossing a case for my present computer. Its just your standard dell and I want to spruce it up a bit with a new case. I have found three I like but cant decide which one to go with. So any advice, tips, tricks, etc etc would be good. Or you can simply reply with which case you would pick out of the three.

Doesn't Dell use proprietary motherboards and power supplies? I don't know much about proprietary hardware, but since it isn't standard ATX, won't it not fit right in a new case?

I'm probably wrong, so anybody, please correct me if I am.

If it would fit, and you do get a new case, I can't really help on which of those to buy, as none of them really excite me to much. I can however give you advice on what to look for in a case.

Removable motherboard tray, fan ports, number of expansion slots, number of drive bays, included thumb screws, amongst others.

    Hope that helped!

The third one is the coolest looking. That'd be my pick.

Yea, I like the last one alot too. I dont like the tower case. I took a better look at it just plain sucks. Which is why it cost so little. I originally wanted it because it looks like you could mod it pretty good. but it just look likes it sucks on the inside.

Ohhhh.... I see.... at first I didn't understand the first case, but now I do. You probably already know this, but it's a HTPC. Not that it makes much of a difference, but I guess that explains some of the design, like it's slim-ness and such.

Right... The only reason I wanted that case is because it would of been a cheap tower case. Which is what I want. But I want a nice looking tower. Unfortunately tower cases that are also nice looking are exspensive.

personally, i like the HTPC case. it looks like it has a point to make... like it has a purpose, which it DOES. im a sucker for logical design.

the rosewill case catches my eye too. it has those pci slot clips, and a few other good cooling and design things in there too. its also the cheapest. those... scratches?.... on the front can probably be removed and you could put another big fan there.

thats my preference. i dont go for the flash of the x-dreamer. the screen on the front is a good idea, but its implemented badly.

I like the HTPC case most. I like the clean look and how the optical drive is stealthed.
If it was bigger (50x50x20 cm or so) I think I would buy it for my future project... but it isn't so I'll look for another one
