That is looking really good. Nice work on it. make me reallized that I have been slacking off on my modes that I been working on.

time to activated the Into work late and leave early thinking so I can spend more than a few minutes on my projects.

You know if the dome I am working on for a project that is to be anounced after I finish my current one, was smooth. I would offer a fiberglass copy of it to you.

Thanks. It has to be at least 22 inches in diameter. The grill is 22.25, so that's why the lip is coming off.

Nice relaxing day today. I just painted the jets for R2's legs to match the color of the dome (which is still to come).

The dome on R2 will go a lot faster now that I bought an an angle grinder with cutting disk!

Last night I worked on the legs. I used 1/4 inch rods and that foamy stuff. I have used many tools and methods when modding over the years, but this expanding foam has got to be the coolest.

In the first pic you can see the support rod covered by the foam.

And after it expanded and dried. I'll still have to shave off the excess and paint it.

Anyone seen Akira? That last pic remind you of anything? "TETSUO!!!!!!!!!!" You know, when Tetsuo gets shot and turns into the giant baby and all expands out and stuff and the chick gets crushed between his giant expanding rolls.

    Or not.

Expanding filler foam stuff is cool.
