    Default Carbon Fiber pattern

    So, I know we have more than a few carbon fiber fans here. Well, here's an easy way to get some carbon fiber in your latest Photoshop creation.

    Start by creating a new image 12 pixels wide, 6 pixels high, with a transparent background.


    Next, use the rectangle marquee tool and select the upper left corner. Then fill the selection with a Black --> Gray gradient from top left to bottom right.


    Do the same thing for the bottom right corner, except make your gradient cover the bottom left to top right.


    Lastly, define a new pattern (Edit --> Define Pattern)

    Ok, so I changed it up a little. I thought the CF looked a little bright. I made a new pattern. I did the same as before, but instead of having the lower left and upper right rectangles white or transparent, I filled it with black. I think this one looks better.


    Here's what the pattern looks like by itself



    And here's my S/N with a white stroke around the letters and a blue outer glow.
