Carbon Fiber pattern
So, I know we have more than a few carbon fiber fans here. Well, here's an easy way to get some carbon fiber in your latest Photoshop creation.
Start by creating a new image 12 pixels wide, 6 pixels high, with a transparent background.
Next, use the rectangle marquee tool and select the upper left corner. Then fill the selection with a Black --> Gray gradient from top left to bottom right.
Do the same thing for the bottom right corner, except make your gradient cover the bottom left to top right.
Lastly, define a new pattern (Edit --> Define Pattern)
Here's the results:

Re: Carbon Fiber pattern
Ok, so I changed it up a little. I thought the CF looked a little bright. I made a new pattern. I did the same as before, but instead of having the lower left and upper right rectangles white or transparent, I filled it with black. I think this one looks better.
Here's what the pattern looks like by itself
And here's my S/N with a white stroke around the letters and a blue outer glow.
