Gary, I have loved watching this come together every step of the way. It is pretty obvious you are getting close to finishing, and I'm thrilled to see it so close.
What are you planning on doing with the video at the end?
Also, I thought about you the other night - I was watching Mythbusters (one of my favorite programs) and they were creating new "skin" for their test dummy, "Buster", by using a latex foam mixture they called DragonSkin. It was highly impact resistant and extremely durable, and the process they went through reminded me a lot of this project.
Anyway, as someone who has always been fascintated by and studied a lot of movie special effects and makeup work, I just wanted to say that you're doing great, great work with this one, and your skill really shines. Thanks for sharing!

i dont wanna be a retard asking a retarded Q but i have to:
i see you use a software to control the servos,
did you made it, or there is somthing that can be adapted for any project,
and final Q do you think it could make a servo open\close a door depending on a temp readout
LOUD AND PROUD !
i see you use a software to control the servos,
did you made it? No ,http://www.brookshiresoftware.com/ It record the moves and play back ,Like lip sync.Or Like stop motion animation
or there is somthing that can be adapted for any project,
and final Q do you think it could make a servo open\close a door depending on a temp readout
Im sure there is , But It would be a programer to help you.

I can tell you now it is possible to get servos to react based on tempertures... as for how, I'm not sure. I would think you need 2 components, the hardware for controlling the servos and the software to read the temps and then activate the servos accordingly.
Legos can do this with thier robotics kits. I think I even saw a temp controled servo kit on one of the hobby shop websites.Originally Posted by GT40_GearHead
