Its plastic styrene you can get small sheets from towerhobbies.com. Plastructs is what is in one of his pictures. He really doesnt use this stuff except for detail I believe I lost all my favorites the othjer day or id tell you where he gets most of his plastic styrene. He gets very large sheets. Im hoping that he reads ur post and posts the link again as i cannot find the link in this forum again.
LIKE OMG. AN UPDATE!! *Dances to the best of my ability (scars young children for life in the process)*
Lookin great Crimson. SO if I remember right, the door willl open when the computer turns on and stay open right? AlsoI can't wait to see it all come togather, the LED's, working door, painted door (inside), and the chainsaw. Wow, thats going to be great, once again your going beyond the "limits" of computer modding, keep up the good work!
LoL---thanks man you can stop dancing now :p
I think going to put the door on a 3 way switch (up, down, neutral, like a car window) so i can open and close it at will--rather than having it open and stay opened with a power up--

Can't wait to see those doors in motions.

Hey babe, awesome update! Case looks great. Of course, incredible attention to detail with the backside of the airlock doors. Its coming along. Most definitely the most intense mod yet. Hope to see more soon!
I just got an idea, maybe you could mod a power strip and make it say "Mars City Power Multiplier 1"
dude!!! you're frikkin awesome!! respect!![]()

Here's a short video showing the motorized airlock in action. The retract servo is controleld by a small single channel servo controller board that runs at 5v DC. The airlock LED light changes to red once it is fully opened and then to white when closed--i may change this to green but i didnt have any on hand.

cool. The only thing I noticed was that the unit seems to move up at the end and down in the beginning. Not sure why, but it looks alittle odd. Nice work btw. I think the green LED would look nice, sort of a "all safe" type thing.
