Tis OK, I founded it
Tables updated, Crenn if you can edit your first post to have them give their RAM timings and their Operating System aswell. Just gives more info, and XP could be faster then Vista so might make a difference.
Changed some settings and get better results. I had to do 2 clear cmos, but it was worth it to find the max stable 100% settings, for now.
So, 10.5x200 is a lot better than 12.5x166. Why, probably because the RAM is running in sync now. Temps went up 1 degree, speed up by 20MHz and the effect is a 25% to 40% increase in calculating speed.sweet
but I am now running hotter on the PSU side. Before it was a bit warm, now it is warm warm.
Not bad, you've taken 3rd overall now. Not beating mine :p shame i can't overclock this laptop![]()
well.. it isn't a fair competition then.. I don't want to see what the stock computational power is :p so hopefully we will never find outStill, I think I can get better result if I go higher.. 2400 was the highest I managed, but not in summer heat and not with a bad heatsink install... It is too hot.
Hmm.. Have you tried to do some bios updates or stuff like that, if possible to a laptop, so you can change voltages and frequencies?
Tried everything, it's because it's a Dell. I even tried Clockgen and got knowhere. I reckon if i could OC i would because this Idles around 28*C which is great and tops out about 50*C

Not bad. Could do better if over-clocked.
Turns out, they'll let any idiot with a wrench work on hydraulics.Originally Posted by gntlkilr
What speed is your CPU at? And what are your RAM speeds and timings.
CPU was at 2200 Mhz.
I have no idea what the RAM timings and speeds are.
They are stock, so I'll check the label on my RAM.
EDIT: Unless anyone has any better ideas.
