Actually, I'm working on three mods. ROIO, Frank and the Filing Cabinet Server.

Speaking of which...perhaps I'll throw some paint on that this weekend as well...

1 fan and USB cables to sleeve and this is done.

I thought I lost my pin remover tool, but recently found it, so this will be done possibly tomorrow, if not tonight.

Done enough for Gov't work anyways. I kinda buggered my IR receiver, but it's nothing some quality time with the soldering iron won't take care of.

ROIO Jukebox is finished! The last bit of modding that I had to do was finished not even 5 minutes ago:

The last fan that needed sleeved.

And the front panel. I removed the header cable for the audio ports, as they won't be used, nor is there any hookup on my board for them.

All sleeved up. I love it when a plan comes together!

I've got a bit of cosmetic work left, and then it'll be on to some glamour shots! But as far as I am concerned, this is my first completed mod.

I did...and somehow, the motherboard got fried. But that's alright, I'm more of an AMD fan anyhow.

I'll transplant a board and give it another go.

EDIT: $86.97 to get a new setup. I can have that saved up the rest of the way in about a month.

On a whim, I decided to try adding a video card instead of using the onboard video. Needless to say, preliminary reports that this (yes, THIS) motherboard had been fried were exaggerated due to lack of sleep and not thinking clearly.

Yep yep. Glamour shots coming real soon. I'll hook it up to my 22 inch LCD (about to install Xubuntu 8.04 and strip it) and my speakers.

Gives me a good reason to clean my desk off as well. It's a damn mess at the moment.

Alright, the final shots. I didn't set this up on my desk, as my wall is a bit busy with posters and my dry erase board. So I cleaned off my workstation and set up there.

Decided to give Xubuntu (and my Lightscribe drive) a go. It was too bloated. So, I read a bit, and found out that MythBuntu has audio capabilities. Since this could get turned into an HTPC in the future, I thought this would be a good approach to go.

Like I said, I've been playing with my Lightscribe. The top disc is a 64 bit build of Ubuntu to be installed on Blue so I can dual boot, and the bottom one is MythBuntu. All three disks are 8.04 (Hardy Heron).

My homemade Ir receiver. I know I planned to have this in the system, but I was getting too much interference from the front panel.

At this point, form is following function. I had both sets of cables sleeved, but was picking up some nasty radio interference with this end of the cable sleeved. It was so bad that the receiver itself was sending ghosts (I think that is the right term) to any program that was remote capable. As you can see, right now, it is duct taped into place--this will be addressed in the near future.

I live in an apartment complex, so I had to bust out the headphones. Plus, I'm too damn lazy to move my speaker system across the room. The wife and I are looking at buying a house, if it goes through, this will be replaced with most likely a 5.1 speaker system.

There's the end result. Once I get the bugs worked out, this system will ultimately go headless.
